Keishi pearls are becoming quite rare. I have had these pearls in my bead collection for many years. They are very special because they are comprised of all nacre (the outer coating of a pearl). They have no nucleus - no small bead or piece of mantle inserted into the mollusk to start the pearl making process. Each one is truly one-of-a-kind.
