Mod Dot Earrings in Gray
These mod dot earrings are created from hand cut copper, formed on a stake and enameled with several layers of liquid, powdered opaque and transparent enamels. They are created through a process called sgraffito. Sgraffito means "to scratch through." I scratch through the top layer of enamel to expose the first layer. Subsequent layers of transparent enamel are hand packed and fired several times to create the lovely turquoise dots.
Each pair of these earrings is one of a kind. I make every attempt to deliver a pair to you that are as close as what you see here.
