Bunny in Repose
Bunny in Repose is an 11”x14” mixed media painting on a 2” birch cradle. Bunnies are a big part of the culture of Langley, WA, where I live. We have bunnies everywhere.
Many years ago, Langley had an annual Easter event where they corralled up a bunch of domesticated bunnies and let the local children catch them. Unfortunately, many parents didn’t see fit to keeping the bunnies, so they were left to roam the Fairgrounds where they multiplied, well you know, like rabbits. They interbred with the wild bunnies, so now we have all different colors and sizes of bunnies. Bunny in Repose is my homage to the bunnies who were left behind.
This painting combines acrylics and collage elements that were created using my handmade rubber stamps.
This original painting is ready to hang, with a gallery wire on the back.
