Rustic Rescued Glass Enamel Dangles with One-of-a-Kind Handmade Sterling Silver Ear Wires

These earrings are approximately 2.25 inches long and a little over 1/2 inch at their widest measure.

There is a story behind these earrings...  I started out making something very different, but as things sometimes go, they didn't turn out as planned.  So, I decided to do a little experiment.

I took a hammer to the top surface of these earrings, breaking off large chunks of the enamel as I went.  Then, I brushed them off an spread a layer of liquid porcelain enamel on top - to see what happened.  These are a happy accident.  I love the texture, the faint color that shows through the white enamel and the crazing of the enamel surface.

I paired these earrings with one-of-a-kind 20 gauge sterling silver ear wires to make them even more unique.  They have a rustic, industrial flair that will go with just about anything!
