Torch Fired Enamel Class @ Blueschool Arts July 14th 2018

Learn how to torch fire enamel during this day of fun exploration at Blueschool Arts on Whidbey Island. Bring your sense of adventure and we’ll partake on a journey that is sure to amaze and intrigue you in the art of enameling on copper. All materials that you need to learn the art of torch fired enamel are available for your use during this one day course. Just bring yourself and a bag lunch. Tea and snacks will be provided. A refrigerator is available to store your lunch or other perishables.

In this course, you will learn how to prepare your copper surface for enamel, health and safety considerations, how to properly sift enamel onto curved and flat surfaces and how to fire enamel, using a Mapp gas torch. Additionally, we will experiment with the application of liquid enamel, where you will learn the exciting effects of over firing.

Register by July 5th to secure your place in the class. Class is limited to six participants.

Refund Policy:

Refunds, prior to July 1st, are given at 100%, minus a 5% administration fee. Requests for refund after July 1st cannot be given, but the class fee can be applied to a future class.
