We will primarily be working with a torch for this online class. The least expensive option would be Mapp gas with a Hot Head Torch head. You can get it on Amazon for around $55 plus tax, where applicable. The other option would be an Acetylene/Air torch. The other main items needed would be a firing tripod and screen, a few trivets, pencils, enamel crayons, watercolor enamels and acrylic enamels. You could purchase just a few colors to get started. These will be your biggest expenses to get started. Most of the other materials you will likely have in your studio.

You will receive a complete list of the items needed when you place your order. Please open your downloadable materials list right away. The link is only good for 24 hours.

If you have further questions about the class, don’t hesitate to email me at mybrownwren at gmail dot com. Further information about the start date of the class and login information will be sent to the email you provide when you make your purchase.

This class is non-refundable. If you are not able to participate during the time of the class, you can make arrangements with me to have access to the class videos, documents and read only access to the Facebook Forum for 30 days from the day you start.

More about the class format:

The Facebook Class format is not proprietary and has been utilized by hundreds of thousands of teachers across many disciplines for a number of years. It allows interaction between students and the instructor that are meaningful and timely. What’s great about the format is that students can go at their own pace, unlike an in person class. What’s great for me is I get to teach a broader range of students without having to travel, which is difficult with my daily work schedule.

I have been offering online video and pdf tutorials through Etsy for a number of years. Teaching on Facebook allows me to have more interaction with my students, which I truly enjoy. I am always available by email as many of you well know.
